Why “Follow the Link” Might Not Be An Effective Strategy

I’m a social media manager on Instagram and there is one thing I’ve been thinking about lately. I’ve seen mixed results by asking the audience to click the link in the bio.

To make sales from Instagram, you have to pull traffic away from there. But to be real, almost no deal is good enough to make the audience work for it. So how do you make it super easy?

I have a theory that I’m going to try out for a while.

I’m planning to use an Instagram chatbot.

So in my posts, I’m not going to ask people to click the link. I will ask them to comment on that post and the chatbot will send the link to them in DM.

This will give me 3 things:

- A stronger lead

- Engagement

- Traffic to whatever I’m promoting (I hope)

We’ll see how it goes! Comments?
